Does that sound fair to you? Has this happened to anyone else?

During the fall of 2015, I was diagnosed with epilepsy after having some MAJOR problems. My grades and life were falling apart and I  had no other choice but to take a leave. I went the proper route. I had my doctor confirm what was wrong, I filled out all of the necessary paperwork for a medical withdrawal and went home to get a handle on my illness. No where did it state that it would affect my grades or status with the school.

I was sick, not being lazy. 

Now that I am officially back from my medical leave and feeling much better after a long and stressful, medical test filled “break”, I am getting notices that my financial aid won’t get dispersed until they review my summer courses I have been taking (all A’s by the way). They did this when I registered for the summer courses as well. I thought it had been resolved. Here’s a snapshot of what this letter says:

I am sure everything will go through just fine but, I don’t want this to hold me back. I’ve sent them an email asking about this (yes, it was friendly, after all they are just doing their job). My transcripts reflect the medical withdrawal, and my professors were notified when it all happened,it’s in my medical records with my university GP (who is amazing!). So, did something get lost in translation from that to the financial aid office?
