Me after I decide three margaritas isn’t enough.

Have you finally figured out that your tolerance is as low as a 12 year old? I have, it sucks.

I have a three margarita limit, if I go past that I am just asking for my body to give me hell the next day. It’s all fine and dandy when you’re drinking, but the moment you wake up you realize you’re in for a bad seizure day.

Alcohol seems to be the hardest on the body when it’s leaving your system, and you will be more prone to breakthrough seizures and other joys. Like:

  • Mood swings
  • Feeling depressed
  • Increased auras like deja-vu, or phantosmia
  • Tremors increase

The list goes on depending on your type of epilepsy and medication. And there isn’t much you can do about it aside from the obvious, drink less.

It took me two trys doing my makeup today because the tremors were worse than normal. Yes, I am a bit hung over whilst writing this and somehow a hangover turned into a post, I felt like being quasi productive. I had one delicious watermelon margarita(don’t judge my favorite drink), and two glasses of wine yesterday and I kind of regret the wine choice.

So, be warned. If you’ve just started your AED’s and haven’t had alcohol yet take it slow the first few times. It took me a while to realize where my threshold was, I learned the hard way. And be safe, especially if you’re prone to-night seizures or are taking time release AED’s.

To summarize, just say no to Fuck yeah , just one more. Not worth it most of the time.

I’m going to crawl back in my hole now. Bye.
